After over a year trying to find a new job, spending a fortune attending interviews (employers don’t seem to understand that getting you to pop into London for a chat is very costly when you have no income) I realised that I was considered too old and would not be going back to the industry that I really loved.
I had never considered starting a business via the franchise route and it was just a chance thing that I heard about a franchise exhibition. Having lots of time on my hand I went to see what it was all about.
I was amazed at all the potential businesses I could start via the franchise route, and it seemed a great idea to start a business with all the guidance of someone who had been there and already made all the mistakes so I didn’t have to.
In the end, it all worked out for the best although at the time redundancy seemed a terrible blow, it was the best thing that ever happened to me.
The lawn business has really helped turn my life around, not only my life but also those who joined me in the business Therefore, I have a lot to be thankful for and now it’s time to give back a little.
I wrote a short guide to help people who are looking at the business, it’s not a sales book, we won’t follow you up, it is purely meant to help you understand the business.
If you would like a free copy, just send me an email to terry@lawnscience.co.uk with “The Lawn Business Is it for you” as the title and I will email you a copy.

Terry Nicholson
