Are you looking for a proven business opportunity in Exeter?
With a Lawnscience franchise, you can run your own successful lawn care business, backed by our proven systems and ongoing support. Whether you want to leave the 9–5 grind, enjoy flexible working hours, or grow a business that you can scale, Lawnscience is here to help you succeed.
Exeter has over 130,000 residents — that means thousands of potential lawn care customers in your territory. With its mix of historic Georgian homes and modern developments, there’s a strong demand for professional lawn care services year-round. Your exclusive Exeter territory could include neighbourhoods like St Leonards, Heavitree, and Topsham — giving you thousands of potential customers.

Lawn care is a planned maintenance service for domestic lawns that ensures grass stays thick, green, and weed-free all year. It combines professional treatments such as fertilisation, weed and moss control, aeration (to relieve soil compaction), scarification (to remove thatch), and overseeding to fill out thin areas. As part of the service, we also examine the soil—improving its structure, balancing the pH, and boosting microbial health—so the lawn stays healthy from the roots up. Depending on the season in Exeter, we adjust our programmes to accommodate growth, moisture, and temperature, and we use child- and pet-safe products. The result is a resilient, well-maintained lawn that’s easier to care for, with routine visit plans and one-off renovation options.

People who thrive in lawn care are people who take pride in visible results. They’re happy working in all seasons, pay close attention to detail, and enjoy using tools and small machinery safely. A good lawn care professional is reliable and organised—able to plan routes, manage time, and keep kit tidy—while also being friendly and customer-focused, explaining treatments clearly and following up. They’re problem-solvers with a willingness to learn the basics of turf science, soil health, and seasonal programmes. A bit of commercial awareness helps too: quoting confidently, spotting upsell opportunities, and building repeat work. Most of all, they’re consistent—showing up, doing quality work, and earning trust in the local community. If it’s the right opportunity for you, it might just change your life.
No — there’s no prior experience required. Our franchise is designed for first-timers. We’ll train you in turf care fundamentals (diagnosing lawn issues, seasonal treatment programs, safe product use, aeration, scarification, and overseeding) and give you the business skills to match (quoting and pricing, route planning, using our CRM, and marketing that generates inquiries). You’ll launch with a step-by-step playbook, done-for-you campaigns, and ongoing coaching and phone support. What matters most isn’t your CV — it’s your attitude: practical, organised, comfortable talking to customers, and happy working outdoors. If that sounds like you, we’ll give you everything you need to succeed.
