Are you considering running your own business in Sheffield?
With a Lawnscience franchise, you can take control of your future by operating a successful lawn care company, supported by a proven system and expert guidance. Whether you’re seeking freedom from commuting, flexible working hours, or the chance to grow a scalable business, Lawnscience will support you all the way.

Lawn care is a planned, seasonal service that keeps lawns green, weed-free, and healthy year-round. Our programmes include fertilisation, moss and weed control, aeration to ease compacted soil, scarification to clear thatch, and overseeding to repair thin patches. We also treat the soil itself — balancing pH, improving structure, and encouraging healthy microbial life — so the lawn stays resilient from root to tip. In Sheffield, where many gardens have slopes or compacted ground from years of heavy rain, aeration and drainage work are essential to achieving lush lawns that resist waterlogging. All products we use are safe for children and pets. Customers can choose routine plans for easy ongoing care or one-off renovations to revive a tired lawn.

People who thrive in lawn care tend to enjoy working with visible results. The most successful lawn care professionals are reliable and organised — they plan their routes, manage their time effectively, and keep their equipment in top shape — while also being approachable and customer-focused. They can clearly explain the treatments they’re performing, follow up on results, and offer additional services when they spot an opportunity. They’re natural problem-solvers, happy to learn the basics of turf science, soil biology, and seasonal lawn programmes. A bit of business sense helps too: quoting with confidence, creating repeat work, and growing a solid local reputation. Above all, they are consistent — turning up when promised, doing quality work, and earning the trust of their customers.
You don’t need prior experience — we’ll train you in every aspect of turf care, from diagnosing problems and applying treatments safely to aeration, scarification, and overseeding. We’ll also give you business training: quoting confidently, pricing correctly, planning routes, and using our CRM and marketing campaigns to generate enquiries. You’ll launch with a detailed playbook, ready-to-use marketing, and continuous phone support. What matters most is your approach: practical, organised, comfortable speaking with customers, and happy to work outdoors.
