Lawn aeration
Aerating a lawn

Problems with soil compaction in your lawn? Aeration is the perfect solution

We will understand your lawn’s condition so we can turn it into a healthy, great-looking lawn.

A compacted soil retains little air or water and is not able to sustain a normal and healthy population of microbes.  Lawn Aeration alleviates soil compaction.

Maintaining a lawn can take quite a lot of effort, such as mowingweeding, and fertilising, but sometimes we ignore the real important part of a lawn, the root zone. It’s in the root zone that serious work takes place. It’s here that the roots extract the water and nutrients from the soil, transferring them into the plant in order that the process of photosynthesis can take place and the plant can produce the food it requires, by using the energy from the sun.

Billions of bacteria live in the root zone, they play a vital role in maintaining the health and efficiency of the root system and in order to do this they need a supply of oxygen. Soil naturally contains oxygen but over time it can be reduced due to soil settlement and compaction. Lawn Aeration creates tiny channels in the root zone allowing oxygen to circulate and refresh the beneficial bacteria. The healthier the root zone, the healthier the lawn.

There are two types of Lawn Aeration;  Solid tine and Hollow tine.  Your Lawnscience professional will be happy to test your lawn and advise the most appropriate option needed.

If you are looking to improve your lawn by Aeration, why not take advantage of the Lawnscience lawn review service?
