The initial meeting

Potential customers wishing to improve their lawns contact us as a result of our direct marketing or one of our online listings. Quite often during the initial conversation, the prospect will explain their frustrations in trying to get their lawn to an acceptable standard. We then arrange a suitable time to visit the customer in order to review their lawn.

The lawn review is a critical stage and one which many of our competitors fail to do competently. A quality lawn review enables you to diagnose the root problem with a lawn. An issue that might seem simple at first could be more complex and might need a more extensive treatment program. Once we have fully understood the condition of the lawn and any underlying issues we take time to explain the situation to the customer in simple language. It’s important to fully explain problems as this help you to demonstrate your full understanding of the lawn. Having explained any issues, you provide an annual treatment plan together with any one-off treatments that are required.

Quite often the prospective customer will give you the go-ahead a the first meeting and this allows you to apply the first treatment there and then.

Providing a quality, ongoing service

Once you have recruited a new customer it’s important that quality of service does not end, each time you visit a lawn you have the opportunity to re-access its condition and provide feedback to your customer. Certain issues will only occur at specific times of the year or when certain conditions within the lawn present themselves, therefore it’s essential that a careful inspection of the lawn is made during every visit. If seasonal issues are found these can be communicated to the customer with a clear explanation of why the issue has occurred and a suggested solution.
